In the men’s draw, Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers secured their 5th AVP Tour title of the season and their 4th straight win at Hermosa. After dropping the first game of the final, the pair went on to beat John Hyden and Sean Scott, 18-21, 21-15, 15-9.
In the women’s draw, Nicole Branagh and Elaine Youngs beat Jennifer Kessy and April Ross, 19-21, 23-21, 15-11 in the finals. Their Hermosa title was the pair’s 7th of the season. The other big news on the women’s side was the return of Kerri Walsh. Walsh partnered with Rachel Wacholder in her first tournament of the season and finished tied for fifth.
