Beach Volleyball NCAA Vote

January 20, 2010

A school-by-school vote took place to determine the fate of Division I beach volleyball last week.  The sport will remain on the NCAA DI Emerging Sports List with 58% of the schools voting to take it off the list (a 62.5% majority was needed).  There has been speculation that schools and coaches are concerned about the additional costs and possibly diluting the talent pool for the indoor volleyball teams.
